Stantec is now seeking an experienced HR professional for a 24-month period as part of the client-facing project team working on the development and implementation of an evolved Organisation Structure aligned to this new working arrangement in Qatar.
The ideal candidate will be a strong, well-disciplined and highly experienced HR professional who has specialisation in Organisation Design, Reorganisation, Rightsizing, JD development and Competency Assessments for a utility organisation.
Key activities will include :
1. Develop to be’ Organisation Structure against Defined Activities
Identify roles, responsibilities and numbers of client staff required for each catchment zone and the centralised support services in consultation with relevant stakeholders / operational subject matter experts
Develop and define an appropriate organisation structure based on the identified roles and responsibilities (hierarchical structure)
Develop and define an appropriate right-sizing plan in full consultation with Ashghal’s Corporate HR Function
Present the proposed organisation structure, resource requirement and right-sizing plan for stakeholder approval
2. Development of Job descriptions (JD) to the Approved Organisation Structure
Update existing’ DNO&M JDs to the approved Organisation Structure
Develop new’ DNO&M JDs (where required) aligned to approved Organsiation Structure
Engage with relevant stakeholders to validate and approve all new JDs
3. Assign Job Roles to Individuals Competency Assessment
Design relevant Competency Assessment Approach
Present and obtain approval for proposed Competency Assessment Approach
Deliver approved Competency Assessment Approach
Present Assessment findings to relevant stakeholders to inform decisions with regards to the assignment of the right person for the right job’
Communicate Assessment data results to relevant stakeholders to inform potential development opportunities to support the required capability development of individuals assigned to the roles
4. Support Staff in the Take up of New Roles in consultation with CHR and DNO&M
Work with our client’s Corporate HR Function, DNO&M Management and Stantec’s current organisational capability building resources to address identified capacity shortfalls (i.
e. utilise existing, appropriately competent, resources within DNO&M (and the wider Ashghal) using re-assignments)
Following DNO&M Management and Corporate HR Function approval initiate the developed right-sizing strategy (i.e. manpower no longer required will be reduced, either by redeployment or redundancy and processes for that will be led and supported by CHR)
