Drafts contracts for engineering servicesprojects, relying heavily on previous contracts as a resource forterms and conditions.
Participates as a member of the negotiatingteam, assuming responsibility for explaining positions andresolving matters of a business nature related to the proposedcontract.
Monitors and administers the business provisions ofassigned contracts to ensure that contract requirements are met.Collaborates with colleagues across organizational lines to obtainand transmit business information necessary for the Project Managerto more effectively monitor the status of the project.
Priceschange orders and follows through to ensure that contractualcoverage is implemented. Prepares letters to client requestingapprovals and interpretations required to comply with theprovisions of the contract.
Collaborates with appropriateProcurement personnel on project subcontract matters. Monitorsproject expenditures versus contract cost limitations.
Preparesletters to clients notifying them of contract cost limitations andrequirements for additional funds. Prepares project / facilityacceptance documents and follows through to ensure acceptances areapproved by the client.
Furnishes business and financialinformation requested by the client, as delegated by the ProjectManager. Identifies contractual problems and takes appropriateaction to ensure a satisfactory resolution.
Follows up on problemsdemanding management attention to ensure a timely response to theclient. Performs other responsibilities associated with thisposition as may be appropriate.
Skills B / Sc degree in QuantitySurveying or equivalent. Should be Chartered Member of the RoyalInstitution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
years of contractadministration experience is required. Experience in GCC is aplus
