Digby Morris has been retained by a leading Qatari construction company to identify a senior individual to take the reins as Business Development Manager.
The business is a wholly owned subsidiary of a larger private family owned conglomerate with interests in real estate development and investment, construction and tourism.
The contracting arm of the business has more than 70 years of experience in the field of Construction and was the backbone of the group, responsible for the construction of all group-owned residential, industrials, tourism and real-estate projects.
As a leading contractor in the Qatari market, employing state of the art technology, plant and expertise, they have successfully completed a broad cross section of project types including : -
High-rise buildings (commercial and residential).
Residential buildings (villas)
Five stars hotels and resorts
Large schools and educational institutes
Governmental and public buildings.
Major sewage treatment plants and utilities
Continually identifies builds and develops new client business within a vertical market by pursing business opportunities with strategic targets in key industries and cultivating relationships with existing clients.
Demonstrates positively company mission, vision, value statements, reputation, code of ethics, standards, policies and procedures internally and throughout the marketplace.
Delivers compelling calls and presentations to introduce company capabilities and value proposition.
Negotiates and communicates complex concepts / business issues to a variety of audiences.
Identifies and evaluates new markets and partnership opportunities through direct prospecting, networking, attendance and participation with various industry and professional groups and networking associations.
Defines, tests, refines and implements strategic plans to successfully achieve opportunities within the vertical market segment.
These activities include primary research, industry, market and competitive analysis, and customer needs assessment. Ensures strategic objectives of the vertical market segment are well understood and executed by the pursuit team
Reports the Quality Control functions / activities of a project or its parts, including Quality Control inspection schedules.
Supports the Construction Manager in dealing with the Client for all the Quality matters.
Assesses the implementation of the Quality Plan and Quality Control Plans on the site.
Demonstrated ability to successfully expand new business and grow existing business within a vertical market.
Exhibit strong business acumen, skills and maturity and the ability to work effectively with others.
Highly developed organizational and planning skills, time management skills and written / oral communications skills.
Experience building strategic marketing programs / concepts, and selling the strategic programs to Sr. Executives.
Demonstrated network of COI's (Centers of Influence) to include developers, owners, owners representatives, architects, engineers and other professional services relationships that could be leveraged to create business opportunities.
Degree in construction related / Engineering
Minimum 2 years of experience in QA / QC
