To represent all Logistics’ services &products of the company to potential customers gaining new businessenquiries and converting these into confirmed contracts.Key Roles& Responsibilities
Liaison with Logistics sub unit leaders toexplore sales leads
Carry out sales activities with a focus onincreased revenue and profit margins.
Identify new revenue streamsand business opportunities including preparation of business casefor capital expenditure.
Execute all sales leads, sales enquiriesand ensure all targets are met or exceeded.
Respond to all salesenquiries within 24 hours, to client, either domestic orinternational.
Partake in weekly meetings with all Logistics subunit leaders.
Utilize Oracle EBMS for all Freight Forwarding salesactivities.
Provide weekly update on sales activities to VP -Logistics
Ensure familiarity with all Logistics activities beingoffered by the company and prepare presentations to deliver topotential customers.
Ensure the maximum profitability of each newcontract in line with agreed service levels and contractualobligations.
Be aware of changes in the market, shippers’schedules, competitors’ activities and general marketintelligence.
Development and Management of Standard OperatingProcedures.
Be aware of market trends through market research andcustomer client visits.
Manage all customer service levels toensure customer satisfaction.
Perform other job-related duties asassigned.
Follow specified systems, processes and procedures,implemented in the workplace, to ensure compliance with legal,regulatory, and other requirements / standards
