SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Electrician to support a Government customer in Qatar, Doha. The Electrician will be directly responsible for the day to day electrical maintenance tasks in support of base operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Install, operate, maintain and repair interior and exterior, single and 3 phase electrical equipment, devices and systems up to 600V.
Replace or repair of interior and exterior lighting systems (bulbs, ballast, etc) Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, and components of machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, specifications, schematics, and blueprints Conduct preventive maintenance (PM), diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments and equipment (including thermography) Test continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments Install and repair control and distribution apparatus, including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, circuit-
breaker panels, etc Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for equipment in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints Operate, inspect, maintain and emergency repair generators and backup power systems, including automatic transfer switches (ATS) as required by the client, and approved by the host Base when such work cannot or is not performed by the host base or to immediately mitigate a hazardous situation at three CFH Facilities (Bldgs 9550, 9520, 9540) Operate, inspect and maintain building Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) Systems
Active DoD SECRET security clearance Two years of college or equivalent Three to five years of Electrician experience required Formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience Must be well versed in computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Fluency in a foreign language
WORK ENVIRONMENT Physical requirements include lifting, climbing, extended sitting or standing, or other physical efforts that are normally required.
Working conditions include a combination of an office environment and outdoor activities.
