You will be working as a Senior Sales Engineer and will be the part of Process Automation Business Area for Measurement & Analytics Division located in Doha, Qatar.

In this role you will be responsible to take independent charge of Gas Analyzer CGA and GC business for PAMA Qatar as Sales Engineer.

Achieve & exceed set business targets and ensure sustainable business growth. Sell company products and systems within a designated geographic area or customer segment in accordance with strategy.

Develop and maintain new sales opportunities and customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer problems.

Partner with Local BU team members, cross BU and global team as necessary. Work with external agents & channel partners in order to maximize profits.

Understand the project order cycle and tap all stakeholders beforehand, envision and clear any apparent roadblocks for OB.

Report activities in given tools & represent the BL at assigned forums as required.

Your responsibilities

  • Represent ABB as Sales Engineer for Instrumentation and Analytical products. Plan & ensure business growth for BD - PAMA and achieve Business Target as per scorecard.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely support, take care of specialized analytical service jobs in the region. Volume and profit sells products and systems to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets, for all local product groups or local business units.
  • Customer relations establish and maintain effective customer relationships (from commercial to administrative functions) to understand customer need, promote customer understanding of full product offering, and align to provide a solution.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process, including post-sale.

  • Prepare sales plan using company tool (i.e. SFDC). Perform regular status review and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.
  • Ensure the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals through effective product / solution presentations and negotiations and communicate details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).

  • Ensure efficient marketing communication to external customers (both current and prospects) and communicate the value proposition of the offer to the end customers.
  • Contributes to the development of new market opportunities in the designated territory supporting other sales professionals.

  • Manage administrative procedures in sales processes and supports collection and project management activities when needed.
  • Prepare offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and / or the Marketing Manager and ensure appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.

  • Support the relevant manager or specialist on customer risk analyses. Formulate and device a winning strategy for each opportunity based on available and acquired market info.
  • Your background

  • Degree in Instrumentation Engineering and / or Postgraduate in Sales, Marketing Management.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in Continuous Gas Analyzers and Gas Chromatograph sales of which min 05 years in Qatar.
  • Good knowledge & understanding of Analytical product portfolio especially Gas and Water analyzers.
  • Must possess good knowledge of Qatar in various segments, sales tools & SAP.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
