Job Summary

The role holder will contribute to the performance of the hotel by facilitating in the General Cashier role and ensuring the key functions for maintaining the monetary funds of the hotel, issuing and receiving all cashiers’ banks, processing all deposits on a daily basis, auditing banks regularly.

In Paymaster role payroll processing, receiving and checking all time sheets


  • Utilize and maintain the time and attendance system and process daily, weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll and related information to include payroll hours, verifying payroll information, recording miscellaneous earnings / deductions, etc.
  • Review and ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all payroll input and output.
  • Monitor, prepare, and communicate reports in accordance with Wyndham’s required due dates.
  • Prepares daily, weekly or monthly payrolls as required.
  • Prepares payroll for month-end closings.
  • To verify overtime authorization.
  • Updates pending offs record as per the list receives from individual department.
  • To print and obtain signature of Director of Human Resources on monthly reports as required by Wyndham policy.
  • To distribute pay slip to all department, collect slips after signature and file.
  • To distribute vacation and pending offs list on monthly basis.
  • To check attendance sheet
  • To check sick leave if it is properly documented
  • To maintain proper records of employees notification.
  • General Cashier

  • Retrieve and process all deposits in accordance with Wyndham’s Hotel Group standards.
  • Maintain adequate supplies of change and provide change to all departments as scheduled.
  • Prepare Cash Short / Over Reports on a daily, monthly and yearly basis, and advise management on material variances in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Issue or redeem cashier banks as needed by the departments with the approval of the Controller.
  • Audit cashier banks as required by Wyndham’s standards. Maintain all documentation.
  • Process petty cash receipts and reimbursements on a regular basis and inform management of any deviations to policy.
  • Maintain a complete record of all funds transferred to and from the bank.
  • Ensure adequate controls on the General Cashier’s fund in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Maintain all cashier contracts.
  • Process due backs on a timely basis.
  • Ensure that all cashier’s operating equipment is in good condition and working order (cash drawers, cashier vaults, credit card equipment, etc.), if applicable.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of cashier supplies, including deposit envelopes, credit card vouchers, and other printed materials.
  • Maintain and ensure the security of the safe, its combination, and all cashier vaults. Immediately notify management of any security breaches.
  • Immediately request a change of the safe combination in any event of entry other than the General Cashier.

  • Keep management informed of any unusual operational or financial events and / or deviations of policies or procedures.
  • Process petty cash receipts and reimbursements on a regular basis and inform management of any deviation to policy.

  • A minimum of 1- 2 years in a similar role
  • Must have thorough knowledge of system, Opera PMS and micros symphony
  • Ideally has a degree in commerce or any related field.
  • Has experience working in a branded hotel.
