Due to the award of new projects in Qatar, the transportation division is experiencing exciting growth and in need of Road Safety advice across the clients major portfolio of projects.

This role reports directly into the Project Manager and will work independently and as part of a team to successfully manage tasks requested by the client.
The core focus is providing technical support to the client, communicating effectively with the client and other stakeholders, developing technical reports, drafting project progress reports, ensuring a documentation system is accurately recording all activities and running project cost reports.
Experience in accident investigation and prevention (AIP); road safety audit; and design team support.
Reviewing current design practice and where necessary modifying, subject to management approval.
Reviewing designs and auditing design in terms of quality and conformance to the relevant standards and specifications.
Proficiency in Design Manual for Roads and Bridges.
Offering technical advice on project relevant matters.
Accountability for the day to day running and management of design matters.
Knowledgeable on the relevant studies and Design Software.
Experience within Qatar and working with government agencies and stakeholders.
Experience in projects involving government departments; public and private organizations.
Ability to produce clear, precise and coherent analysis, report and narrative setting out the findings of road safety investigations.
Reviewing current specifications and applying new technology to such specifications, constant update of codes and standards subject to management approval.
Capability to produce technical reports.
Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrating collaborative behaviours and engaging style of delivery.
Ability to confidently communicate in meetings and workshops to many key stakeholders, as well as write detailed reports at a high level.
The minimum qualifications for this position are : Degree in Engineering or related fields from an accredited University.
Minimum 10 years post graduate experience in Road Safety.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience : Experience in the use of GD04 / 12 Standard for Safety Risk Assessment on the Strategic Road Network.
Chartered Engineer or equivalent is preferred.
Experience of AutoCAD.
