To formulate and lead the implementation of the QSSCstrategy in line with QIG’s vision, mission and corporateobjectives.Ensure that the overall strategy is translated intoannual operational business plans for QSS and the performance ismonitored annually to ensure business plans are in line with theoverall strategy.
To Lead the effective achievement of functionalobjectives through leadership of QSSC and by setting of individualobjectives, managing performance, recruiting qualified staff,developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informalfeedback and appraisal in order to maximise subordinate anddepartmental performance.
To Define an optimum organisationstructure and direct the development of functional structures sothat resources are optimally utilised and communication can takeplace in an efficient manner.
To Direct the preparation andconsolidation of QSS budgets including the projected cash flows forprojects as well as the general expenses and monitor financialperformance versus the budget so that the business is aware ofanticipated costs / revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance areidentified and potential performance improvement opportunities arecapitalised upon.
To Monitor operational business performanceagainst strategic objectives by regular management review to ensurethat objectives are achieved and required corrective actionstaken in an efficient and timely manner.
To Oversee thedesign and implementation of standard operational processes for QSSbusiness requirements to ensure the delivery of services in themost efficient manner.
Ensure the effective planning and allocationof all resources and implementation of appropriate standards andcontrols to ensure that all company activities are carried out inan efficient and cost-effective manner, meeting or exceeding theoverall growth and profitability targets of QSSC.
To Develop,obtain approval from the BOD and ensure the implementation of theshort and long term business plans and direct the preparation ofannual operational plans and operating budgets to enable theachievement of set business plans.
To Lead and monitor allproject management processes to ensure projects are managed withinproject parameters of scope, cost, time, quality, functionality,safety & environmental standards, all in accordance with setstandards.
Continuously review the progress for improvement inproject management processes and project performance in order torecommend changes where necessary.
To Lead the provision of adviceand recommendations to senior management, the board based onthorough research and analysis performed by the team to ensure thatthe management is fully aware of the financial and economicalviability of the projects and opportunities and is thus enabled tomake informed decisions based on the suitability and compatibilityof those opportunities to QSSC overall strategy.
To Maintain anextensive network of political, business and trade contacts toensure that QSSC is optimally placed in its understanding ofpolitical, economic and commercial environments and challenges.
ToManage external stakeholders such as government, regulatory bodiesetc. and other relevant institutions and authorities and strategicpartners / investors in order to ensure that the appropriate level ofexternal services are obtained to the best advantage of the companymeeting all obligations for such services.
To Manage and maintainthe relationships with current and potential customers tocontinuously ensure customer satisfaction and proper delivery ofservices as per the agreements between the parties.
To Manageand provide advice on the development and implementation ofappropriate training plans and schedules for the all employees toensure that all project requirements and specifications will be metsuccessfully according to initial plans.
To Liaise with therelevant department to identify and analyse training anddevelopment needs, requirements and delivery style to ensure themost cost effective and training is achieved.
Assist in themanagement and development of customised training and developmentplans and programs to meet the training needs identified thatsupport the achievement of business objectives to improveorganization effectiveness and capabilities across the entireworkforce.
To Direct the development and oversee theimplementation of QSSC policies, systems, processes, procedures andcontrols covering all areas of function so that all relevantprocedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled while deliveringa quality, cost-effective service in a consistentmanner.
To Direct the compliance of all relevant quality,health, safety and environmental management policies, proceduresand controls across the function to guarantee employee safety,legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products / serviceand a responsible environmental attitude.
