Stantec is currently looking for an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Senior Programme Coordinator. The Senior Programme Coordinator will be part of a Programme Management team which will lead the overall ITS program implementation under the direction of the newly formed ITS Coordination and Monitoring Committee and drive our client Ashghal’s effort to achieve the committee’s Terms of Reference and objectives.

Currently, Ashghal Asset Affairs is managing the following projects :

The ideal candidate would bring extensive experience successfully implementing similar programs working on the governmental, client or the contractor side, which would be essential to navigate this complex task and effectively deliver the ITS program.

The ideal candidate is also required to support Ashghal’s strategic discussions with the Ministry of Interior (MOI), Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC), Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, Qatar National Broadband Network (QNBN), and other key stakeholders.

Key tasks and responsibilities include :

1.Assist the ITS programme manager in delivering a successful ITS programme

2.Support all stakeholders to adopt a collaborative, agile, integrated team approach to the ITS projects and an overall programme delivery framework

3.Support development and monitor the progress of an overall ITS Programme with specific focus on RMC system integration, WAN implementation, ITS Roadside Implementation projects delivery, SCATS upgrade, and Road Tolling implementation, in addition to other ITS projects.

4.Review projects with Ashghal / Supply Chain ITS Project Managers working on key individual ITS projects and support coordination across various ITS workstreams, advocating a consistent approach to ITS deployment across the various implementation projects

5.Work with Ashghal / Supply Chain ITS Project Managers to estimate and communicate expected levels of service / performance and system availability for ITS projects, and key measures to minimise potential service disruptions

6.Work with Ashghal / Supply Chain ITS Project Managers to support effective integration of projects into the RMC

7.Support the review of the processes and procedures produced across the ITS Programme (e.g. internal liaison within Ashghal throughout conceptual design, design development and implementation phases including agreed handover elements between Ashghal Project Delivery and Operations and Maintenance Departments) and propose improvements for clarity and alignment

9.Ensure key documentation is filed on Ashghal corporate systems (CDMS) for future reference / retrieval, and monitor the use of CDMS by various teams for effective team collaboration (e.

g. sharing of information, recording of minutes of meetings, etc)
