About this role :

  • Ability to interpret environmental laws and permitrequirements, stay abreast of the changing regulatory landscape andanalyze the various options for complying with new regulations andpermit requirements;
  • Conducting EHS complianceaudits;
  • Monitor and report results of thecompliance efforts of the company;
  • Provideguidance for the senior management team on matters relating toenvironment, health & safety and compliance;
  • Implement all necessary actions to meet the objectives ofan effective environment, health & safety and complianceprogram;
  • Meet all regulatory and legislativerequirements and identify areas of excellence;
  • Compliant with the following standards : ISO9001,ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO27001;
  • Interfacewith Environmental Regulatory Agencies, Corporate environmentalhealth and safety leadership & lead inspections andaudits;
  • Liaise with other managers and staffthroughout the organisation to ensure that the quality managementsystem is functioning properly.
  • Ensure regular reviews and qualitymonitoring are completed. Perform internal audits to support theidentification, actioning and close out of non-compliant issues andsupport continuous improvement of the QMS;
  • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability andrisk; develop / track / implement corrective action plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with other managers and staff to direct complianceissues to appropriate existing channels for investigation andresolution;
  • Ensure accident and incidentreports are investigated and corrective actions taken;
  • Ensure that adequate Health & Safety training isprovided to all employees;
  • Encourage apositive quality and health & safety culture across alldepartments;
  • Development of EHS complianceprograms, plans and training programs;
  • Leadsite in the design and or improvement of processes that minimizeenvironmental hazards;
  • Development andassessments of EHS management systems which align with ISOstandards;
  • Ability to understand and interpretEHS regulations and guidance documents to support development ofclient EHS programs;
  • Evaluate risks &incidents and identify areas where costs and loss can beimproved;
  • Project execution includingpreparation of proposals and project reports, project management,and delivering high quality work to meet budget and client scheduleexpectations;
  • Provide guidance and expertiseto all levels of the business on EHS andcompliance issues;
  • Promote a cultureof customer data security awareness throughout thebusiness;
  • Performexternal audits on the Company’s key service providers toensure all service providers are complying with EHS and complianceregulations;
  • Responsible for documenting and the continual maintenanceof the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) which covers all keyactivities of the business;
  • Responsible forthe regular testing of the BCP in line with the Disaster Recovery(DR) Plan;
  • Take ownership for allEnvironmental Health and Safety initiatives and manage all EHSactions in conjunction with divisional owners;
  • Fully implement Fire Safety procedures, includingevacuation procedures, fire warden selection and training and firesystems evaluation;
  • Develop and maintainrobust processes, training and selection of appropriately qualifiedpersonnel for Occupational First Aid, Emergency First Aid andAutomatic External Defibrillators;
  • Review andupdate all EH&S documents and policies and develop andimplement a programme of actions to ensure fullcompliance.
