Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below :
Direct the site supervision related to tunnels and associated works
Coordinate direct activities with the other discipline Resident Engineers to maintain consistency
Responsible for reviewing all shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, any requests for information relating to the drainage network
Direct, assist and monitor the performance of the construction team working on the supervision of the construction of the drainage network
Advise on contractual and construction matters regarding the drainage network
Supervise, review, monitor and report on progress of the drainage network and associated works
Convene and chair regular site meetings about issues related to drainage network and associated work and related activities
Issue additional drawings etc. as required in coordination with the design office
Ensure prompt and accurate exchange of correspondence and approvals
Warrant safety goals are achieved and oversee implementation of safety procedures
Participate in all health and safety issues at site, as required
Comply with Mott MacDonald’s safety, health and risk management standards and processes
Provide necessary on-site direction and issue site instructions with respect to tunnel and associated work
Check and measure the performed work and record progress versus the agreed programme

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil engineering from an accredited institution
Membership of an accredited Project Management Institution would be advantageous
Chartered Engineer status is preferred
Minimum of 15 years post-graduate and demonstrable experience, of which 10 years in a managerial or technical lead capacity of similar large-scale sewerage and / or surface & ground water micro tunneling projects.
Demonstratable experience in the technical and financial proposals, evaluation and constructability, technology deployment and solving technical problem that may arise during construction.
Experience must include all Health & Safety and Environmental Protection aspects of the construction and operation of deep underground structures works.
Previous experience in managing similar large-scale micro tunneling sewerage and / or surface & ground water projects delivered under Design & Build projects and undertaken within the city.
Ability to coordinate, corporate and communicate with other construction projects in the vicinity of the works, in addition to effectively consulting with Statutory Bodies in respect of acquiring necessary consents and licenses.
