About Your Job
As a Cargo Network Compliance Officer, you will monitor and enhance Qatar Airways Cargo compliance and provide guidance to management on key regulatory issues and options to eliminate or mitigate regulatory compliance risk.
The focus will be primarily on cargo security, however, other compliance areas may be assigned as the workload dictates.
You will identify network performance issues, operationalize risk mitigation strategies within the functional areas and influence buy-
in across departments and operations.
You will be responsible for the planning, direction, management, implementation of overall safety plans, programs and practices of the Cargo Operations.
This is accomplished by evaluating the effectiveness of safety and security programs to ensure they are relevant to the operations, monitoring compliance with safety and security policies and being proactive in addressing of safety or security concerns.
You will be required to work through an investigation process and prepare reports detailing root causes and corrective / preventive actions in conjunction with the team and network stakeholders.
You will build constructive positive relations within the department, team work and culture are a high focus. You will be actively involved in monitoring the required quality and service standards implementation through entire network for safe cargo operations.
Part of your job functions also includes to foster an environment of continuous progress though process improvement, compliance metrics, technology and ensure there is a proactive communication with the GHA and customers for issues resolution.
You shall provide both support and guidance to network operations at the Head Quarters, Regions and Stations to enable stronger safe secure knowledge and behaviors.
You must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, and have a good command of the English Language. You must have a minimum 5 years of work experience in an Aviation, Logistics or Cargo Forwarder, of which 3 years are required preferably in operational, compliance or support role in one of these industries.
You should have working knowledge of investigative business analytics and audit structure.
You must have the ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively and to identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
You must have a high level of computer literacy, organizational and planning skills, strong interpersonal and team working skills.
You will demonstrate service focus, pro-activity while being reliable and sound knowledge of MS office with high level of Presentation skills and strong Excel skills are essential requirements in this role.
