Plan, prioritize and organize CT workload, ensuring the necessarypatient care is provided to patients of all ages.
Acts independently in the assessment of referrals for CTexaminations, taking full responsibility to reduce unnecessaryionizing radiation exposure of patients and utilizing skills toassess a patient’s condition, often acute, decide on anappropriate method to obtain a diagnostic image from a range ofoptions
Participates in standby and on callroster systems for the Diagnostic Imaging service, in imaging areasappropriate to training and qualifications, as designated by seniorstaff.
Provides support and relief fordepartment supervisors as required.
Adheres todepartmental and applicable organizational policies, procedures andregulations relevant to the CT patient care team.
Maintainsaccurate and concise records of all imaging received by the patientusing the appropriate systems.
Supports theSupervisor CT to manage and maintain a high level ofexpertise and reducing faults / issues effectively to guarantee thesafe operations of the CT equipment, ensuring an efficient flow andoptimal utilization of resources.
Implementsdirected change to effect continual improvement in servicesprovided, and ensures compliance with all internal and externalstandards as well as regulatory and legal requirements.
Involves in the training and development of new employeeson equipment and procedures in the area of operations in alignmentwith the departments and Sidra’s training objectives andplans.
Participates in and complies withquality improvement programs and competency assessment initiativesfor the Diagnostic imaging services.
Participates in mandatory training and actively practicescontinual professional development in alignment withSidra’s professional development programs to ensuremaintenance of professional licensure / accreditation.
Monitors and maintains stock levels for consumablesrelative to the service.
Adheres to andpromotes compliance with the hospital’s radiation safetyand protection and MRI safety policies and associated codes ofpractice and takes appropriate action where non-compliance isevident.
Deputizes for Supervisor and managesthe team as and when required.
Demonstratesthe ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressfulsituations.
Represents the organization in apositive and professional manner.
Communicatesthe mission, ethics and goals of the facility.
Maintains patient confidentiality at alltimes.
