About Your Job
In this role you will be responsible for strategic insight through understanding business processes and leveraging data and analytics to drive continuous improvement efforts.
You will also be responsible for developing, implementing, analyzing and sustaining analytics tools and reports, business performance metrics, trending for activity models and provide forecast and impact assessments .
Part of this role requires you to w ork with Business stakeholders with feasibility exercises, what-if analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and evaluation of options for any given project, initiative and strategic directions aligned with Qatar Airways vision.
You will be responsible for Provide insightful, high quality, accurate, timely and consistent management information. You will design dashboards to measure the key performance metrics, identify areas for improvement in data integrity, and ensure the operational impact of new systems, especially the BI tool and data warehouse can be appropriately tracked, recorded and analyzed using data that is easily accessible from the system.
Further, you will also be responsible to conduct regular audit and sense check analysis to ensure all the information provided through BI platform is accurate and up-to-date.
You will ensure accurate information in reporting as well as the operational systems, alongside the development of the data warehouse.
To be successful in the role Candidates must have :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Mathematics / Sciences
Have a minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role with overall 8+ years of IT in Data Warehouse and Big Data projects
Knowledge and experience in designing, developing and implementing large scale data warehouses / Management solutions
Good understanding of Data quality, metadata management, master data management and data integration solutions
Proficiency in data modeling concepts specially different modeling paradigms like 3rd normal form and dimensional modeling for data warehouses
Strong programming skills of Oracle Data Warehousing components, Business Intelligence Tools like Business Objects, Tableau, Power BI.
ETL Tools like Informatica and ODI. BIG Data tools and technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Spark, MapReduce
Experience on Open Source and NoSQL technologies like MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, CouchDB, Pig, HBase at an Enterprise level
In depth knowledge of database internals - query plans and execution, performance tuning, security etc.
Experience in Developing solutions with Structured and Un-Structured Data Sources in batch and realtime mode
Expert knowledge in developing ETLs in Informatica, testing, implementing, debugging and documentation
Hands on experience with the various SDLC processes
Experience in Agile / Scrum Methodologies
Good planning, organizing and leadership skills
Good presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate with various audiences, including end Users, Managers and members of the IT team
Strong Analytical and Problem solving capabilities
Candidates will have the following responsibilities :
Lead, Manage and be responsible for the team consisting of Developers
Design, development and implementation of Data Management Solutions, Data Lake over Big Data Technologies
Determine business information needs and identify system requirements,
Provide support and technical guidance to his / her team members to ensure deliveries are aligned with the approved architecture and framework
Ensure data is accurate and meets organizational quality and integrity standards
Daily operations of Data Management Solutions and related Business Intelligence and Analytics platform
Create and deliver technical and project documentation as required throughout the project lifecycle
Deliver projects and solve problems within small, medium and large organizations utilizing disparate tools and methodologies
Lead the Projects throughout the project phases from initiation to closure
Be responsible for testing and ensuring delivery of fit for use systems
