The role

ProjectDirector - Facilities Management

Facilities managing services, managing agent - schools in Qatar. Responsiblefor building a strong relationship with the client and meeting theirexpectations.

Seeking prospective business opportunities with existing, new andpotential clients.

Ensuring all Mace Macroactivities and operations are carried out in accordance with local and nationalregulations and laws promotes other Mace Macro services to existing clientaccounts.

Tracking record in managing large scale contracts multiple smallercontracts.

Yourresponsibilities will include :

  • Being accountable forperformance, cost and schedule of large contract or multiple contracts.
  • Managing the client,consultants, contractors and site operations.
  • Overseeing the P&L andachieving contribution / margin targets.
  • Building a strongrelationship with the client and meeting their expectations.
  • Leading the strategicdevelopment of best in class facilities management services, introducesindustry best practice and innovation and continually challenges and improvescost and performance.
  • Taking ownership of andaccountability for the account.
  • Providing first classcustomer service.
  • Overseeing the supportservices including customer relation management, quality, health and safety,environmental, helpdesk and CAFM system.
  • Handling the client'scontract and its operations including : contract management, project management,risk management, people management, change management, financial and businessmanagement together with customer relationship management.
  • Managing the budget andcost control.
  • Supervising quality andrisk management financial management and business acumen.
  • Yourexperience, knowledge and skills need to include :

  • Previous workingexperience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding ofbuilding design, fabric maintenance and energy performance.
  • Detailed understanding ofclient’s business, internal structure and facilities management environment.
  • Fluency in written andoral English and Arabic languages.
  • Ability to work on owninitiative.
  • Effective time managementand ability to prioritise.
  • Excellent influencer atall organisational levels, including the ability to develop credibility quicklywith senior managers / decision makers.
  • Excellent negotiating and networkingskills.
  • Business minded, changeorientated and pro-active.
  • Consultative approach andclient solution focused.
  • Ability to be anintegrator who can inspire others to work together.
  • Assesses risks andunderstanding implications of decision made.
  • Ability to adopt an opencollaborative team approach.
  • Qualifications

  • A degreequalification in engineering or relevant disciplined is preferred.
  • Master’sdegree in facilities management is essential.
  • Charteredmember of relevant professional or trade organisation is essential.
  • Holds a Qataridriving licence.
