About the role

As a Recruitment Specialist in the Customer Experience division you will ensure planned, effective and timely recruitment of personnel in accordance with the approved manpower plan and valid staff requisitions.

You will source the most competent staff from various countries, to ensure the best possible mix of human resources.You will advertise vacancies, assess and interview applicants, give selection tests, prepare reports, and make recommendations to management about staff appointments.

Support the development of psychometric and personality development tools, instruments, and sophisticated recruitment based behavioural assessments to enable the company to use best methods in the selection process.

Your operational role includes :

  • Support the management of the day-to-day performance of the recruitment campaign.
  • Develops recruitment plan to undertake selection campaign Career Fairs to attract potential candidates.
  • Personally assess candidates’ competence, cultural fit and motivation, and present a pipeline / talent pool of candidates to meet the business resourcing plan for the financial year.
  • Responsible for screening, testing and conducting profile interviewing of all applicants.
  • Promote best practice selection using the selection framework, maintains a close relationship with the Hiring Manager, coaching them through the recruitment process.
  • Represent Qatar Airways with our employer brand positioning.
  • Duty travel to selected destinations to conduct recruitment events or Career Fairs.

    About you

    To be successful in this role you must have :

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or a related field and 4 years' experience in recruitment, preferably in an airline or High School / Vocational Qualification / Diploma in Human Resources, Psychology or related and 5 year's relevant experience.
  • Previous Cabin Crew experience would be an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed lateral and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to support project management within a multicultural environment.
  • Proven experience of demonstrating flexibility to meet the changing demands of the business and ability to work in a team.
  • Strong interactions with client area with proven influencing experience at a senior level.
  • Exposure to HR systems and interviewing techniques is essential.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure to defined tight timescales and budget.
  • Ability to role model best practice in interviewing techniques.
