DohaFull descriptionKey responsibilities : Design, develop, deliver and evaluate the readiness strategy for functions / projects, complex processes to demonstrate progress against Q22 and FWC22 readiness objectives and integrate the 2022 FWC Venue Readiness strategy.

Lead the process to capture and track lessons identified during all readiness exercise, including observation events, test events etc.

and feed them back into venue / site and functional planning (ConOps and Operating Plans)Work with functions / projects to identify readiness objectives, make sure these are tested across multiple exercises and outcomes tracked on the readiness databaseContingency plan development identification of high level risks to the Games and development of appropriate centrally driven contingency plans with delivery partners.

Capability development coordination of a capability building programme that develops the readiness of Q22 staff through testing and rehearsing plans, processes and integration across functions and external stakeholders.

Contract management of readiness consultants / internal or external staff as required by the operational readiness delivery strategyQualifications and experience : Bachelors / MastersExperience : A minimum experience of 8 years at mega international sport eventsProven track record either in the delivery of a client / constituent groups function (i.

e. Media services) and / orin a similar central planning role (planning of services for event clients / constituent groups)Understanding of integrated planning approach in mega eventsProven track record in managing complex projects, preferably international sports eventsFlexibility when faced with ambiguity or constant changeMajor Events : Experience in management role of Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games or World Championships.

Knowledge across a number of key Games functions including transport, security, venue management, Communication, Coordination, Command and Control (C4) as well as dependencies within venues teams and the infrastructure programme.

Readiness role : Skills in design, development and delivery of table-top exercises, simulations and rehearsalsSkills in facilitation and exercise evaluationExperience in integrated operational planning in a major event environment.

Experience in managing internal and external stakeholders to build cooperative and positive relationships, understand capability gaps and develop training and testing tools to address themExperience of strategic planning, analysis of operational environments and use of tools to monitor progress and identify issues.

Communicates regularly with key individuals to ensure continuity of information.Driven by organisation values.Project management : Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and under pressure.

Uses judgement to assess levels of risk and ability to implement mitigation measures.Delegate responsibility and mentors junior project team members.

Team management : Ability to work both independently with minimum supervision and cooperatively within a team situation.Previous experience of managing a diverse team.

Ability to communicate direction with a clear vision of success.Inspires and motivates others.Collaborates effectively to ensure delivery of mutual objectives.

International experience.Skills : High level of presentation and negotiating skillsExcellent customer service experienceExcellent communication skills oral and writtenStrong IT skill including MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)Must be fluent in English, other languages are an added benefitExceptional planning, organizational and administrative skillsPositive attitude, patience and persistence
