Wyndham Grand Doha West Bay Beach is now seeking an Assistant Reservation Manager to join our team in Doha, Qatar.Job SummaryAs an Assistant Reservation Manager under the direction of the Director of Revenue, you will supervise the reservations department for smooth functioning and to maximize hotel revenue and guest satisfaction.

All work will be in line with the hotel’s business plan and in accordance with Wyndham corporate policies and procedures, as well as local requirements and regulations.

  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOperationalRecords reservation information accuratelyIdentifies and records group and transient business codesInforms other departments of VIP arrivalsIdentifies commissionable reservations and secures required informationRecords and processes deposit informationIdentifies and records special billing instructions;
  • approves credit after consultation with the credit controllerFiles all reservations in a systematic order for easy referralRecords requests for special accommodation and suitesUses and ensures up-selling techniques are followed by reservation agentsHandles all special requests appropriatelyPre-blocks all special requests or VIP accommodations accuratelyKeeps all departments informed of the new group bookingsMaximizes customer satisfaction and hotel revenue by promoting hotel restaurants and other services and facilities to the guestsDeals with assigned incoming correspondence, faxes and reservation messages in a timely and accurate mannerOther DutiesAcknowledges assigned reservation faxes and messagesCheck previous night’s statisticsReview No Show and early departuresCheck the selling availability and strategy with the Revenue Manager and ensures it is followed by reservation agent.

    Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.

    Must possess computer skillsExtensive knowledge of the reservations sales process.Presents ideas and strategies in a confident and professional manner.

    Ability to multi-task & work under pressure with limited resourcesStrong writing skills with excellent spelling & grammarEXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATE & EDUCATIONMinimum of three years in a similar role required.
