arrange appointments with doctors, pharmacists and hospital medical teams, which may include pre-arranged appointments or regular 'cold' callingmake presentations to doctors, practice staff and nurses in GP surgeries, hospital doctors and pharmacists in the retail sectororganise conferences for doctors and other medical staffbuild and maintain positive working relationships with medical staff and support administrative staffkeep detailed records of all contactswin new customers, as well as develop long-term relationships with existing onesmeet and, if possible, exceed sales targets, regularly monitoring your business plans to make sure you achieve thisplan work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables with the area sales team or discuss future targets with the area sales managerregularly attend company meetings, technical data presentations and briefingskeep up to date with the latest clinical data supplied by the company, and interpret, present and discuss this data with health professionals during presentationsanalyse sales data to improve results and make sure resources are effectively allocatedmonitor competitor activity and competitors' productskeep up to date with new developments in the NHS, anticipate potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapt strategy accordinglydevelop strategies for increasing opportunities to meet and talk to contacts in the medical and healthcare sectorstay informed about the activities of health services in a particular area.
Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.
Identify and resolve client concerns.Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
