Ensure that the assigned projects tasks are well managed as per the statement of requirement, the Client specifications and contractual requirements,
Ensure that all the interfaces with the design team, other entities including CPD / E&C are correctly managed,
Ensure that the projects are executed in accordance with the organization's safety regulations, with quality conformance and within schedule and budget,
Coordinate the engineering activities of Integration Project engineering group in agreement with Engineering Manager and Integration Manager all along the Contract execution phase,
Responsible for engineering consistency between Project packages,
Ensure efficient communication with all other the Client engineering and functional team members.
The job holder is in charge of all technical design aspects related to loss prevention safety engineering aspects of
Promote & comply in all activities with applicable safety instructions and other the Client HSE procedures,
Carry out work in compliance with the Client values and policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed the Client priorities and objectives, the Client standards and procedures and good industry practices,
Follow-up of pre-FEED and FEED engineering development activities progress related to safety engineering systems for the project by the contractors, the LLI and packages vendors (as applicable) for the Major Projects.
The scope of activities will mainly concern brownfield activities on existing A platform. The activities include the review and comment of engineering and vendor (if applicable) documentation to ensure compliance with design dossier, SOR, Company specifications, Corporate standard and HSEQ regulation, international codes, BV and SOLAS applicable rules,
Supervise the engineering contractors in charge of carrying out the design engineering, including (but not limited to) HAZID, HAZOP, SIL determination, any safety studies, model layout development, safety engineering documentation development, etc.
Supervise and promote cost-saving and weight saving solutions in the design, promote design alternatives to optimise schedule,
Check the technical quality of the engineering documents prepared by the Contractor(s) and his subcontractor(s) & vendors, provide comments in due time and approve via EDMS (PRODOM) the documentation promptly, in accordance with contract procedures and requirements,
Check the incorporation of the Client comments by the Contractor(s) and his subcontractors / vendors in subsequent submissions,
Review firefighting equipment and lifesaving appliance specifications, datasheets, technical bid evaluations, purchase order specifications and vendor documentations,
Review of the firewater systems design including PFD, PID, design of deluge system, calculation notes, hydraulic and transient analysis,
Review of passive fire protection specification (piping, structural, vessels),
Review of other safety engineering documentations which are related to safety of personals and facilities such like (but not limited to) safety concept, hazardous area classifications, process PID, ESD logic diagrams, fire and gas cause and effect diagrams, hazardous area classification layouts, blast study, etc.
Review of various safety-related studies which are performed by a third party / consultant to identify major hazards and to ensure that risk are managed to ALARP, such like HAZID, HAZOP, SIL determination, Fire Risk Analysis, Explosive Risk Analysis, Safety Critical Elements identification and performance standard, Escape evacuation Rescue analysis, Gas Dispersion and radiation analysis, etc...
Follow-up recommendations and actions from various safety studies, through Contractor tracking register.
Ensure close coordination with other disciplines on all engineering, constructability and operational matters during pre-
FEED, Feed & detailed design developments, typically 3D model development, safety layout reviews, etc
Treat all information obtained during course of the work with confidentiality,
Keep a pro-active attitude in front of future interlocutors (Contractors, vendors, etc ),
Review and analyze the safety engineering design data of the existing facilities in view of the integration with the platforms,
Assist in preparing the various detailed scope of work for loss prevention safety engineering discipline covering for FEED and EPC, all in line with Pre-
FEED and Statement of Requirements,
