Schedule and perform calibration of Critical and Non-Critical Process Equipment and Laboratory Standards and complete all associated documentation as required by SOPs.
Work with limited supervision to isolate complex failures to electronic component level and executes repair. Coordinate repair and or calibration services with external vendors and assists Supervisor with purchasing activities.
Calibrate critical equipment (including pressure / vacuum transducers, RTD's, microprocessor based controllers, autoclaves, etc), non-
critical equipment (including pH meters, thermometers, balances, etc.) Assist and implement new SOP's related to internal calibrations and revise SOP's as required to improve productivity.
Support and respond to internal, external, and regulatory audits in regards to all aspects of the calibration system. This will include written responses, as well as determining and implementing corrective actions to audit observations.
Work with limited supervision to isolate, diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems related to process equipment failures and calibrations.
Provide recommendations for improving calibration processes. Design and develop new calibration methods and test aids, when required.
Will require some travel. This Position is located in Doha Qatar
Required Skills :
Demonstrated four (4) years of experience in calibration of electronic / mechanical equipment.
Must have a strong background in digital electronics.
Must have in-depth, detailed knowledge of the metrology, mathematics, and applicable technical disciplines required to perform the described duties.
Must have a working knowledge of The National Electric Code, High voltage up to 460 volts, machine controls including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), relay logic, motor controls (VFD's and servo), temperature and pressure controls including PID, thermocouples, RTD's and transducers and operator interfaces.
Must be proficient in reading electrical schematics and ladder logic.
Must have a clear understanding of analytical troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of RF Microwave is a must.
Experienced in working in a standalone environment with little to no supervision.
Experienced in the use of standard industry tools and test equipment.
Other Requirements :
Must be able to work in extreme heat environments and lift 50lbs.
Must have a current US DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Skills :
Middle East customer experience.
The ability to establish a calibration facility from scratch.
Demonstrated twelve (12) years of experience in calibration of electronic equipment.
Demonstrated experience providing OJT to a foreign customer.
Knowledge developing test jigs and fixtures.
Knowledge developing special test setups for calibration of new or special purpose equipment.
Required Education :
Bachelors Degree with 4 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years experience or HS Diploma / GED with 12 years of related experience.
