Discover Qatar (DQ) is a Destination Management Company facilitating the development of Qatar as a tourist destination.
Discover Qatar offers luxury accommodation, transport, tours and excursion packages and provides high quality destination services to tour operators and individual clients.
As an you will provide seamless operations and services to QR passengers who use DQ products (airport transit tours, hotels, car rental, city tours) and also to promote Qatar as a premium tourism destination by employing effective processes to provide quality tour consultation.
You will lead the team of the junior staff and deputize for the line manager in terms of Airport Operations during his / her absence
Operational Accountability :
Coordinate with third party suppliers and ensure the tours run without delays and issues. You will ensure hand over is done from one shift to the next shift for smooth running of the day to day operations.
Check all incoming mails and take appropriate actions
Handles enquires via telephone, emails, and tour operator website and ensure all actions are handled within the agreed time frame as per DQ service level agreement
Coordinate with the driver / tour guides on the timely pick up of the guest and pass the manifest details with the pickup times of the guest to the tour guides,
Prepare daily reports of any delay in guest pickups / vehicle break down and send to respective departments. Maintain weekly and monthly tour manifest and monitor the flow of passengers
You will send vehicle maintenance request to the base departments , ensure all payments are received before the documentations and reporting of transaction is complete as per the SLAs.
Attend, investigate and provide quick and valuable feedback for customer complaints and provide solutions for all customer service scenarios.
Assist the Line Manager in preparing budgets and be the first point of contact with any enquiries from Finance team.
Arrange delivery and collection of tour documents and job sheet handovers to drivers.
Management & leadership
Monitor Amadeus queues ad assign to staff on duty
Provide quick instructions to the team on operational aspects as and when needed.
Delegate and distribute task and assignments to reporting staff based on their skills and strengths.
Prepare monthly rosters for the team and provide feedback on staff shortage to run the operations
Monitor third party supplier staff
Support and motivate the team
About You :
You will hold a Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level or equivalent however a diploma in Travel & Tourism (IATA) would be an advantage .
A minimum 4 years of job related experience is essential for this role.
You have experience in airport operations preferably within an Airline environment however past experience in selling holiday packages would be an advantage
You must have the ability to multi talk, must have a strong problem solving skills and be able to lead and perform well under pressure
You must have good command of written and spoken English and currently be living in Doha, Qatar. Knowledge of Qatar geography would be beneficial.
