  • Manage the BD and Sales department and develop a growth strategy.
  • Think strategically by seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business.
  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
  • Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
  • Research and build long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders / Principals.
  • Promote the company’s products / services addressing or predicting client’s objectives
  • Plan approaches and pitches.
  • Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Participate in pricing the solution / service.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
  • Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
  • Present an image that mirrors that of the client.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate terms to stakeholders
  • Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes and operations, and remain up to date on industry news
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Attends networking events
  • Prepare high level reports and presentations.
  • Responsible for managing bids and ensuring that all bids are submitted on time and to a high standard
  • Skills

  • Proven working experience (at least 5 years) in business development
  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategy / Project Planning Skills
  • Degree qualified in appropriate Business Discipline
  • Role that has provided strategic improvements to a Company
