Receive consignments and verify accuracy of delivery by checking and counting against delivery notes. Place the received parts in designated bins and arrange new locations for additional inventory items.
Report any excesses or shortages, or damaged parts. Organize parts systematically according to similar parts numbers and inform the Warehouse Supervisor of changes in order to update the system.
Collect the picking slip, locate the appropriate part and deliver to the relevant person ensuring that no part is delivered without a picking slip.
Keep the Warehouse clean and inform the Supervisor of any defective parts.Monitor stock materials, handling, storage and dispatches to shops, sales counters and customers.
Ensure that correct part numbers are visible on bins, locations and cartons. Perform periodic physical inventory checks with the order supervisor and with the audit department and verify against the computer inventory.
Assist in documenting and reporting the details of stock / inventory checks to the Warehouse Supervisor. Ensure the accuracy of the inventory and the security of all physical inventory / stock taking records.
Assist in resolving discrepancies between the computer inventory and the actual parts available in bins. Check all details related to parts received such as the accuracy of parts number against the original order and the supplier delivery note.
Ensure the maintenance of tools, equipment, and other materials. Undertake additional related responsibilities as required.
