Key Job Responsibilities

Assist for the preparation and presentation of a broad array ofcakes, pastries, desserts, cakes, petits fours which meet customer expectations

Assist with the development and implementation of training programfor all pastry / bakery kitchen staff

Train and check on a regular basis all kitchen staff

Participate in the annual review of all pastry / bakery staffsalaries

Schedule working hours of all departmental staff, taking intoconsideration volume of expected business but being careful at all times toconserve labour cost

Authorise overtime if warranted by the unexpected business.

Assign in detail specific duties to all under his supervision andinstruct them in their work.

Insist on personal cleanliness and proper discipline of allemployees at all times.

Ensure that all employees receive job descriptions and work inaccordance with standards that are set

Qualification / Job Requirements

  • minimum of 5 year’s experience in the same field in a 4 / 5 starhotel
  • a certificate on any health & safety and food hygiene courses
  • highly organized,creative and able to work in fast-paced, highpressure situations
