College / Department Profile : The College of the North Atlantic - Qatar is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Facilities Management Manager in the Facilities Management Department.

Reporting to the Vice President, Finance and Administration, The Facilities Management Manager must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Facilities Management Department in fully implementing the College’s mission and vision.

Duties & Responsibilities : This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will lead, manage, direct and monitor the activities of the Facilities Management Department, and to contribute in the development of the Facilities Management policies, processes and that they are designed and implemented in alignment with CNA-Q’s strategic direction, best practice and relevant laws and regulations applicable in the state of Qatar.

To manage the Facilities Management activities such as - health and safety compliance, campus security, maintenance, housing services, building management services, housekeeping, grounds and recreational facilities.

Candidates should have an outstanding record of industry experience in Facilities Management and possess the qualifications necessary to be successful in the role of Facilities Management Manager.

The successful candidate will lead the development and maintenance of facilities services to support the various departments across CNA-Q by overseeing the monitor log and guide the team in providing quality service to employees and attending to employee complaints.

This will include all aspects of soft facilities services such as parking, catering, cleaning and waste management. The successful candidate will oversee health and safety of CNA-Q’s campus (fire safety, health hazards, incident reporting and management) and security of CNA-Q’s campus (crime prevention, fire, burglar and environmental alarms, conflict management, incident reporting and management.

Other key functions of this position include overseeing and monitoring the management of accommodation and housing services, building maintenance, refurbishment, alterations, ground maintenance, lift maintenance, mechanical and electrical maintenance and site surveys.

The successful candidate will guide the team with maintenance and repair operations for the campus, this will cover preventative maintenance, on-call repair services, projects on campus and the work of contractors.

The successful candidate will maintain a professional working relationship with all stakeholders and collaborate with the Procurement Department to ensure vendors and third-party providers adhere to service standards, quality, and contractual agreements.

The successful candidate will contribute in the policy development initiatives for Facilities Management Department and monitor the implementation of Facilities Management Department’s procedures and processes.

The successful candidate will provide professional development support and perform periodic performance reviews for direct subordinates to contribute to the development of employees and must have excellent organizational, leadership, decision-making, delegation and communications skills as well as the ability to act as a mentor to team members.
