Stantec is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support on a tower in Qatar.

Key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to :

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design and liaison with the all required authorities.

2.The candidate must have intensive knowledge in pipelines hydraulics and designing of pressure pipelines, sewerage, rising mains, pumping station design and all aspects as may be required by the Client.

3.Good understanding and previous experience in urban drainage, and hydraulic design of sewers. Carrying out work to agreed budgets and timelines

Assist with the preparation of cost estimates for project design and construction.

4.Collaboration and working as part of a team

Work in conjunction with engineers to solve project design problems, performing basic design calculations as required.

Work under the direction of the Technical Lead;

Conduct field inspections under the supervision of the Technical Lead, and Client Engineer representative.

Liaison with teams working remotely from other parts of the world to facilitate completion of tasks, and project.

Good communicator.

5.Client Service Management

Internal and external client liaison

Ability to build and maintain lasting and positive relationships

Experience in utility diversions and management

6.Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.

Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.

Design for safety, i.e. Construction Design Management.

7.Other duties as requested from time to time by the Technical Lead.

Qualifications :

a) Graduate of Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.

b) Minimum Total of fifteen (15) years post graduate experience with at least (7) years' Experience

in Consultancy (supervision) as Mechanical Engineer

c) Previous experience, minimum five (5) years in Qatar

d) Possess appropriate technical background and ability to control the contractor's and subcontractors' conformance with the contract documents including drawings, specifications, etc.

This includes a working knowledge of local and international specifications that may relate to the

work.

e) Accredited from the Engineers and Consulting Offices Accrediting Committee (UPDA) as a Grade "A" Mechanical Engineer.

f) Candidate must be Bilingual (Arabic speaker)
