Job Description

  • Comply with Company policies and procedures and act within limits of delegated authority.
  • Responsible for all pre- and post-contract award activities including, but not limited to :
  • Assistance for all aspects of the procurement process including but not limited to pre-qualify, tender, document preparation, award, variation and post contract administration
  • Timely processing of Contractor & Local Purchase Order correspondence
  • Advising and working with the General Managers, Directors, Field and Project teams.
  • Handling all Post Award Commercial, Contractual and Legal issues
  • Managing Contract & Local Purchase Order Correspondence and follow-up
  • Managing Project Change Requests, Site Queries and Site Instructions
  • Managing Contractors’ Pro-forma Invoices and issuing Payment Certificates
  • Arranging close-out of contracts, including settlement of claims, if required
  • Collaborates with other departments and leadership to identify and develop needs and requirements for equipment, materials, products, and acceptable substitutions.
  • Contribute to and review the scope of work and contracts conditions.
  • Manage tendering, evaluation and award of contracts as per company policy.
  • Manage and administer the contractual aspects of major contracts.
  • Assess, review and advise Contracts and Procurement Lead, Senior Managers and Project Managers of potential contractor claim for variations and extensions.
  • Participate in contractual and / or commercial audits as required.
  • Direct and oversees all subcontract department personnel in every aspect of subcontract administration, from sourcing of bidders to closeout of subcontracts and records retention.
  • Manage and lead the team, including :
  • Assist Contract and Procurement Lead with recruitment and resourcing
  • Assist Contract and Procurement Lead with personnel performance appraisals, where appropriate, and ensure appraisals are conducted for each team member
  • Help manage the training plans and career development of team members, as appropriate
  • Providing mentorship to selected team members to assist them in their career development and potential to move to roles that are more senior.
