To lead and take ownership ofend-to-end Group TES projects, or lead a work stream on large complex programs.
To adhere to a defined delivery methodology, in such a waythat each underlying project or work stream is accomplished to the completesatisfaction of the sponsor (internal or external), on schedule, qualityassured and within budget.
To ensure that projects are planned, coordinated andcommunicated in a professional manner, keeping stakeholders regularly informedof progress, and ensuring that all stakeholder expectations are managed andthat commitments are consistently met.
With the responsibility of managing virtual teams andreporting to Senior Management.
Effectively manage project budgets and revenue plans.
Prepare and deliver Project Plans (outlining the tasks,dependencies and timeframes) as to be baseline and then placed under change controlin accordance with the defined methodology.
Define & document scope & approach to a project ensuringthat in accordance with defined governance there is suitable initiationdocumentation & approvals prior to delivery.
Track record of on-time, on-budget & to-specificationdelivery of projects.
Experience of managing multiple projects across fulllife-cycle is essential
Experience of delivering IT / Telecommunications projects andservices across multiple geographies is advantageous
Ability to build strong relationships withinternal & external customers, delivery partners and external vendors.
Management of multiple stakeholders, with arange of cultural backgrounds, frequently with English as a second language.
Lead the virtual project team (as the overallprimary point of contact and escalation point), coordinate all project deliveryactivities and ensure that all key milestones are met.
Execute the project governance and chair both operationaland strategic project review boards.
Provide accurate progress reporting to stakeholders atvarious levels in accordance with project-specific communications plans,
Engage & manage external third parties (where relevant)alongside internal resources as defined by the project.
Ensure a comprehensive hand-over to the Customer and / orService Management team at the close of each project.
Carry out Lessons Learned activity, and ensure thatdocumentation of such is available for future improvement activities.
Assess, record & mitigate risks / dependencies against projectdelivery in terms of time, quality & / or budget.
Identify, record & manage project issues providing effective& timely escalation where appropriate.
Strong written and oral communications skills.
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, integrity, respect for confidentiality, sound judgment and decision making skills.
Ability to lead and motivate project teams to successfully deliver the within agreed time scales, assigned budget and to high quality standards.
Be effective in crossing country-specific cultural divides.
