Skill : Senior Technical HSE Engineer
Duration : Up-to July 20201 (and extension yearly)
5days per week, 10 hours per day.
Fixed Rotations : 4 months / 2 weeks (Unpaid) Flexible

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate strong technical safety engineering competencies with specific detailed knowledge and experience in the application of the following for a range of onshore and offshore projects :
Industry codes and standards relating to Technical HSE and Loss Prevention; specific experience in the application of Shell DEPs or equivalent is advantageous;
Site / plant layout philosophies and methodologies using physical effects modelling, risk contours and separation distances to minimize risk;
Hazard Identification such as HAZID, HAZOP, WHAT-IF and the documentation of HSE hazards in risk registers;
Hazard & Risk Assessment techniques including physical effects modelling (fire, explosion, toxic release), QRA, LOPA, dropped objects assessment, ship collision assessment, SIMOPS study;
Risk Management philosophies and methodologies including inherent safety principal, hierarchy of control, use of corporate risk criteria (IRPA, LSIR, F-N), ALARP demonstration, bowties for Major Accident Hazards, SCE identification and performance standards;
Process Safety & Safeguarding concepts including process isolation, emergency shutdown and depressurization, overpressure protection, HIPPS;
Fire & Explosion Prevention techniques such as hazardous area classification, design of fire & gas detection systems, safety input to design of HVAC systems, bunding and drainage;
Design of Fire & Explosion Mitigation systems such as passive fire protection and full range of active fire protection systems;
Life Safety principals and methodologies for buildings and process facilities including life safety review, EERA, ESSA, TRIA, smoke & gas ingress analysis;
Awareness of Human Factors Engineering principals and methodologies;
