Maintains and enhances the organization's human resources by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Job Responsibilities : · Initiate and lead human resource programs and projects.· Oversees and manages the work of reporting Human Resources staff.
Encourages ongoing development.· Develops and monitors an annual budget that includes Human Resources services, employee recognition, various events, company rewards and recognition, and benefits administration.
Conducts a continuing study of all Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to keep management informed of new developments.
Leads the development of department goals, objectives, and systems. Provides leadership for Human Resources strategic planning.
Establishes HR departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of the company's strategic goals.· Establishes and leads the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce.
Chairs any employee selection committees or meetings.· Oversees the implementation of Human Resources programs through Human Resources staff.
Identifies opportunities for improvement and resolves problems.· Perform internal reviews and audit of current systems and policies.
Perform quality assurance checks.· Deliver surveys to employees.· Conduct investigations and research into reclassification and classification.
Ensure business practices are in accordance with human resource policies and labour laws.· Help implement applicant tracking systems.
Provide consultation and guidance to senior management and organizational partners in the interpretation of human resource management policies, procedures, programs and application of related government laws and regulations.
Lead HR-related projects.· Provide advice on discipline process, conduct disciplinary review conferences and advise on appropriate outcomes.
Develop employee restructuring plans.· Devise severance packages.· Participate in the design, development and implementation of innovative workforce retention programs.
Provide review and approval of requests for reduction-in-force, reorganizations / realignments.· Business awareness and commercial focus.
Job requirements & Skills : · Proven experience as an HR consultant.· Knowledge of the principles and practices of HR management.
Solid understanding of research methods and analysis· Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop the HR department staff members.· Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the executive management team that provides overall company leadership and direction.
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include knowledge of Excel and knowledge of human resource IT (HRIS, ATS, Payroll etc.
General knowledge of various employment laws and practices and experience working with a corporate employment law attorney.
Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources recognition and engagement programs and processes.
Knowledge of business principles & able to strategize and formulate business plans.· Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
