Analyze product profitability, selection, display andassortment using category management practices. Budgets andmonitors sales and margin plans of assigned categories inaccordance with personal and company overall goals.
Manages vendorperformance by all available metrics; fill rates, rejections,timeliness, etc. Communicate every day, seasonal, and promotionalschematics and execution timeliness and strategies to store level.
Coordinate and manage competitive market surveys. Coordination andsupervision of all retail pricing for each price and promotionalregion.
Oversees competitive analysis, including auditingcompetitive product selection, displays and pricing through on-sitevisits and market research.
Develops strategies on productinnovation and improvement; presentation, packing, pricing,assortment and shrink. Presents information (i.
e., category budgetoverviews, accounting processes etc.) for the purpose ofcommunicating information, gaining feedback, and ensuring adherenceto establish internal controls.
Coordinates information relativeto the development of grower and product profiles. Develops longand short range category plans for the purpose of expanding thedepartment programs and / or ensuring that company resources areeffectively utilized.
Drive organic sales performance andpenetration through focused category analysis and support indevelopment of sustainable national and regional grower programs.
Support department resets, remodels, and new store openings asappropriate. Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Supply clear directions for new and existing stores on properdepartment layout, schematics, opening orders, programs andtraining.
