  • Lead the Project ManagementTeam’s (PMT) procurement activities and coordinate inputfrom other PMT functions such as engineering, construction, etc.
  • toensure project procurement objectives are met.

  • Coordinate the procurement activities of contractor withthose of the PMT to ensure that company’s procurementobjectives are met with regards to cost, schedule andquality.
  • Monitor contractor performance toensure compliance with company requirements, procedures and ethicalstandards.
  • Review and approve contractorprocurement procedures and documents to ensure alignment withcompany.
  • Participate in reviews of contractorvendor quality control effort to ensure these meet companystandards.
  • Assess contractor procurementissues and problems and assist in the development of timelyresolution to avoid unnecessary delays to projectschedule.
  • Establish policies and procedures toensure effective working, participate in their further developmentto meet the needs of a continually evolving, expanding and complexproject environment.
  • Evaluate and interpretcomplex contract documents, analyse risk exposure and providestrategies for negotiations to ensure optimum commercialdecisions.
  • Participate in a highly dynamicteam environment working with tight deadlines, minimum supervision,high pressure and visibility on large capital expenditure projectsensuring accuracy, effective decision making and problem solving inall procurement related activities to deliver project procurementobjectives.
