About Your Job :
In this role you will provide strategic commercial leadership in defining, developing and reviewing sales strategies to ensure growth for Global and Local accounts.
You will ensure that overall sales and revenue targets are accomplished and drive reduction in cost of sales across Channels / Segments.
Key accountabilities include :
Formulate and implement sustainable and competitive global sales strategies that support the long term sales and revenue growth of the QR passenger business
Support VP Sales in defining and preparing business plans for achieving growth outside the traditional sales channels and markets
Devise new business development opportunities to further our growth both on our own and through strategic partnerships, as appropriate
Ensure that strategies are regularly updated to reflect changes in business drivers, growth, technology development as well as global advancements in the aviation industry to ensure that we are in line with industry best practise
Optimise the channel mix and ensure new channels are identified, developed and designed to extend our sales reach and lower our cost of sales
Work in tandem with Marketing to ensure that global sales and business development strategies and plans are fully aligned and supported by marketing and promotion plans, across the globe.
Ensure that global sales processes are continuously reviewed and, where necessary, re-engineered across all channels to manage QR’s growth, ensure processes are transportable, yet localised, to be relevant in all local markets across the network.
About You :
You have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Sales & Marketing or related field and minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
It is required international airline exposure and previous experience in budget and planning, in driving and delivery significant change;
you also have at least 5 years of proven strong sales ability, related Management experience and Industry Contracting experience.
Specifically experience in selling of airline, tour operators, or hotel products, together with good knowledge of Trade Distribution Channels.
You have the ability to convert strategic plans into operational network revenue plans, to manage a multi-country sales force with a commercial mindset.
Exceptional leadership skills coupled with a positive attitude and the ability to develop and nurture partnerships within the organisation;
ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
