Universe Manager- Decathlon - Qatar

The Universe Manager is responsible foroverseeing the Universe floor activities in order to ensure thatits operations are carried out in the most effective manner and incompliance with the company customer service standards.

He / she isalso responsible for maintaining high standards of visualmerchandising and store presentation, and ensuring availability ofproducts at all times.

  • Greet customersand ensure that they are served by shop staff in a timely mannerand in compliance with quality and customer service standards
  • Develop a commercial policy, a season layout plan, inaddition to an annual timetable for commercial campaigns
  • Recommend price modifications based on benchmarking inorder to maintain competitiveness
  • Monitor theUniverse sales figures, inventory, profit and loss report andensure that weekly and seasonal targets are achieved by theteam
  • Manage the Universe staff by preparingschedules, setting goals and objectives, managing performance,training and motivating employees, in order to ensure the highestlevels of performance are achieved
  • Monitor stocklevels on a continuous basis, assist the Shop Manager in makinginventories on a regular basis, maintain inventories and re-ordermerchandise when needed in order to ensure adequate stocks andmaximum range and size availability at all times
  • Develop and maintain a calendar for the shop events and communicateit to the team in order to ensure smooth and timely running ofactivities;
  • supervise the communication of shop events andpromotions to customers through social media tools

  • Communicate with wholesales customers to ensure timely answering oftheir needs, and liaise with local sports clubs in order toincrease brand awareness and boost sales
  • Handle theclosing at the end of day in coordination with the Cashier bycontrolling the preparation of cash money, electronic cards slips,discounts, and VAT vouchers;
  • ensure their delivery to theAccounting Department in compliance with company policies andsecurity standards
