Job Scope :
Manages the daily activities of the Welding Inspection sub-division within the Inspection Division to ensure that work carried out is in compliance with International and Corporate Standards and Codes of Practice.
Prepares / Approves reports on Welding Procedures / Qualifications / Certifications and Welding work carried out in Mesaieed Operations Facilities.
Prepares Budget proposal and Routine Budget items for the welding Inspection / NDT section.Participates in failure Investigation Teams.
Determines and allocates tasks, relating to the works, to subordinates.Undertakes Non-destructive testing on pressure containing plant equipment, pipeline and welded construction using special equipment and techniques to ensure structural integrity and plant safety.
Carries out Ultrasonic examinations within the fields area. Supervises Industrial Radiography carried out by Contractors using Ir-
192 radioactive source. Reviews radiographs, interprets them and submits concise reports. Prepares inspection reports outlining specific recommendations and liaises with planning engineers and field supervisors regarding their implementations.
Assists Plant Inspector in other day-today activities.
A minimum of 12 years experience in welding inspection incorporating practical experience in Non-destructive Testing. Have proven experience in management of inspection teams relevant to the oil and gas industry.
