You will join our Engineering departmentAs our new Senior Technical Writer you will be part of Engineering Department.Your key tasks and responsibilities will be : To update operating manuals, operating procedures and related technical documents ensuring accuracy, consistency, quality of the contents and correct formatting in accordance with Company policy and agreed standards .

Writes, peer reviews, edits and updates pertinent technical documentations not limited to operating manuals, operating and maintenance procedures, standing instructions, etcWrites, scope of work for contracts of production and maintenance related works for plant jobs (direct contracts entrusted by Qatar Operations not involving Engineering department.

Formalizing the relevant technical information and data pertinent to production and maintenance improvements.Plant visits for verification of certain elements for the purpose of plant document updates.

Incorporate the as-built’ nature of the pertinent technical documentation as required by Qatar Operations Support department.

Recommends improvements and changes in the layout and contents of pertinent documentation in order to maximize comprehension of end-users and deliver user-friendly and purposeful documentation.

Revises and edits pertinent documentation to ensure conformity with the agreed standards, including format and style.Complies with all Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Security policies and procedures.

Conducts all activities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, if in doubt consults Supervisor / Manager before proceeding.

Participates in HSE meetings and Company QHSE promotional programs.Reports all accidents, incidents or near misses to Supervisor / Manager or to the QHSE Department (Watch Card).

Performs other similar or related duties as assigned by Head (Operations Engineering).Your starting point for constant growthFrom the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company.

For this role, we believe your starting point is : Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.

5 years’ experience in technical documentation environment.Experience in plant operations including oil and gas plants would be preferable.

Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include : Computer literate and familiar with latest Microsoft Office package.
