Major Accountabilities :
Plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of customer objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies.
The program managed by this level of Manager will typically have TIC up to $1 billion or be of a technical or managerial complexity to require a Manager of this stature
Acts as the Company representative with the customer and selected suppliers during the program execution. Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the customer in line with the MoC procedure.
Assists business development in understanding customer issues and business plans in order to market and secure new / additional work.
Assigns responsibility to executing project plans for key subordinates and assesses how to utilize their qualifications and strengths.
Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.
Works with Engineering Managers / lead discipline engineers to develop budgets, schedules and plans for the various elements of a project.
Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
Builds diverse and inclusive teams
Demonstrates the ability to build support for ideas presenting alternatives and recommendations persuasively
Works with Engineering Managers / lead discipline engineers to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.
Advises the customer and Company management of any such changes.
May participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of customers.
