DohaAbout the RoleThe purpose of this role is to provide on-shift operational management of the store operation and staff, 24-

  • hours a day, 7 days a week and to ensure that all logistical and receiving matters are covered.The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to : All operational activities within Stores & Receiving, efficient allocation and utilisation of staff to ensure all activities and tasks are completed on time and to specification;
  • Ensuring a clean , organised and safe work environment within the department;Holding daily shift briefings to ensure all staff are aware of the daily business and any changes in customer requirements;
  • Reviewing the overtime management of the department and maintaining all departmental KPIs to advise on impact of process or product changes;
  • Leading the operational effectiveness of the team within the department aimed at cost savings, standardization, simplification and waste reduction;
  • Operational communication with QACC management ensuring a smooth workflow between all parties as well as in and outbound communication towards QACC logistics and supply chain to ensure smooth operations;
  • Overseeing the bars and dry store packing areas to ensure everyone has the relevant and most up-to-date information and that performance is on track;
  • Conducting spot checks internally and externally in order to ensure customer specifications are adhered to;Developing and suggesting improvement plans to deliver enhanced service and efficiency;
  • Vehicle communication allocation and maintenance as required;Liaising with the Integrated Operations Centre and QACC on any delays and aircraft changes to ensure that bars are packed accordingly;
  • Ensuring that the department adheres to legislation at all times including customs, fire, health & safety, food safety, security, first aid, ramp safety and airport procedures;
  • Creating appropriate audit programs to provide an objective, measurable assessment of the department's performance.About YouThe successful candidate hold a relevant College or University qualification to minimum Bachelor level, preferably in Logistics or Warehouse Management.
