Stantec is currently looking for a Project Manager to join our dynamic team and support on support on a new public-private-partnership and construction supervision project.
The scope includes a sewage treatment plant, terminal pumping station, odour control system, and a TSE management facility south of Doha.
Some of the key job responsibilities of this role entail this following :
Oversee investigations, concept and detailed designs for civil and wastewater infrastructure :
Review data collection and analysis for conceptual planning and design, prepare design drawings and specifications, and solve design problems as required.
Review field investigations to collect design information.
Manage preparation of technical specifications, tendering and contract administration :
Engineering analysis, technical writing, design calculations, specifications, and drawings on projects.
Manage project activities through the application of technical engineering planning, principles and techniques.
Review project deliverables including writing technical reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports.
Determine budgets, timelines and cost estimates for project design and construction.
Work in conjunction with engineers to solve project design problems, performing basic design calculations as required.
Conduct technical, feasibility studies and site investigations.
Liaison with teams working remotely from other parts of the world to facilitate completion of tasks, and project.
Internal and external client liaison.
Ability to build and maintain lasting and positive relationships.
Experience in utility diversions and management.

Project Manager (Water Infrastructure)
If you have the following qualifications, we would love for you to be a part our diverse team :
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an internationally recognized university.
Minimum of 20 years post-graduate experience, of which 12 years in a managerial capacity in similar works managing all aspects of construction management and supervision of similar large-scale projects.
Membership of an accredited Project Management institution an advantage.
Professional Chartership Engineer status from an internationally recognized institution.
Experience in all Health & Safety and Environmental Protection aspects of the construction of similar large-scale sewerage, surface and ground water networks projects.
Experience in managing similar size infrastructure developments including large pump stations and sewage treatment works.
Experience in PPP project supervision projects preferred.
Able to administer the PPPA within delegated authority and provide necessary recommendations in all matters regarding the requirements and interpretation of the PPPA.
Experience in reviewing, verifying, monitoring and recommending non-objection for design management plans, design calculations, hydraulic analysis, MEICA design calculations and more.
Monitor and advise on compliance with contracts, preparation of construction management plans, safety and security of the works, progress, quality and environmental aspects.
Experience in providing recommendations on the list of all deviations from the standards cited in the PPPA.
Knowledge in international construction & contract law, contract administration procedures, staff management, and Public Authority procedures.
Experience in evaluating technical and financial proposals, constructability, technology deployment and solving technical problem that may arise during construction.
