This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a world class duty free team. As Lead Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for managing the warehouse team to provide leadership in fast-
paced warehouse environment. You will be responsible for planning and executing the growth of QDFC warehouse operations in line with the overall business strategy and implementing warehouse inventory management systems at designated areas.
As a part of the key performance indicators, you will focus on manpower efficiency development, delivered through strategic operational practice to help deliver an effective, customer focused solution.
Key Accountabilities :
Manage and review warehouse operations and deliveries to the Duty Free Retail Sub Stores ensuring accurate & on time delivery.
Constantly review and maintain warehouse setup to enhance efficiency.
Comply with local warehousing, material handling and shipping requirements.
Review existing and new regulations, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on a regular basis.
Respond and prioritize daily requests and escalations effectively.
Focus on Lean Methodology to reduce cost and increase performance.
Investigate, resolve and report on warehouse errors ensuring any potential risks and concerns are addressed to the management and ensure timely closure.
Manpower planning and assigning daily workloads in line with business requirements.
Administration, training, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, resolving issues and discipline of staff within their respective teams.
Management of weekly and monthly operational reports that are tailored around 4 core areas : Customer Key performance Indicators, Manpower and Resources Planning Reporting, Stock Discrepancy Reporting and Management Reporting.
Conduct regular Warehouse / Bond / Sub Store inspections to ensure compliance standards are maintained.
Prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving operations and solving stock issues.
Initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiency and / or reduce operating costs.
Ensures compliance with Customs & Excise regulations.
Coordinate monthly stock takes by category with the Inventory Control Team.
Ensure all occupational health and safety standard operating procedures are adhered to at all times and risk assessments are carried out on a regular basis.
About You :
To be successful in the role you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, and / or Systems or equivalent. You should have minimum 5 years experience in a warehouse / store environment with good knowledge on replenishment, pricing and analysis.
You will have proven track record of handling complex issues. You should be resilient and tenacious; able to pursue goals despite obstacles.
You will be creative and innovative; able to design new and effective solutions. You will have excellent project management skills with the ability to deliver tasks within tight deadlines.
