Available Opportunities VAC7991 - Engineer, Unified Communications / Fast Telco Subsidiary of Ooredoo Kuwait Field : Technology Contract Type : Full Time - Permanent Location : Kuwait - Kuwait City Closing date : 05-May-2020 Role Purpose :
A resource for Unified Communications Departments to handle new voice installations, Trouble Tickets, support and maintain voice infrastructure.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities :
Provide training for customers on Call manager operation and basic troubleshooting
Responding to TT’s on a timely manner.
Responding to FT clients technical issues and voice related complaints and assist customer to close it (Remotely / Onsite).
Acting as a 2nd level support for NOC team for VOICE related issues.
Open cases and follow up with vendors where applicable.
Visit customer premises to fix technical issue that can’t be fixed remotely.
To adhere to signed maintenance support contract with customers in terms of scope, support visits count and SLA.
Ability to troubleshoot, assess networking requirements and provide solutions.
Monitors and identifies capacity, quality and performances issues for VOIP traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of telephony systems.
Testing new HW / Services.
Attending technical meeting with existing and potential FT clients to discuss the technicalities of new solutions.
Qualifications / Requirements :
Bachelor degree preferably in Computer Science, engineering or related field.
Experience in technical environment with hands-on experience in VOIP technologies in medium to large environments.
Transferable residency with a driving license.
CCNA Collaboration is a must.
CCNP Collaboration is a PLUS
Other Information :
Worked on Cisco Call Manager, Voice Gateways or other PBX related Experience.
Knowledge of SIP, H.323, MGCP and Other Voice related protocols.
Install, repair and maintains Cisco types of IP telephony systems, including adds, moves and changes of installed telephone services
CCNA and other IP / Network Certifications will be considered as priority
Knowledge of basic switching and routing equipment and protocols.
Knowledge of Basic Ethernet
Knowledge of IP addressing scheme, subnetting and how to assign / deploy
Knowledge of DHCP and understanding of how it works
Knowledge of VOIP equipment and concepts
Knowledge of telecommunications equipment operations and maintenance and installation
Knowledge of PBX, and IP telephony systems
