DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Utilities Engineer (Wet) completes a wide variety of engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within one discipline.
The Engineer at this level is a fully qualified professional, proficient in the utilization of most engineering theories and practices.
Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately. Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings.
Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs. Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes.
Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.
Coordinate with other disciplines as well as with other engineers and CADD within the discipline. Provides direction and ensure a high performance, customer service-
oriented work environment. Plans, organizes and manages the work to ensure optimal use of resources and workload. Provides support for other engineering activities as required.
May supervise one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Engineering with minimum 5 years hands on design experience with wet utilities. Must have design and coordination experience among the various utilities with the road works project.
Must be proficient in MS Office and related design applications.
Must be very good communicator in both verbal and written in English.
Should also have excellent technical writing, multitasking and project management skills.
