Posted Oct 16 2019Systems Engineer Specialist is responsible to manage operate and maintain systems solutions and services delivered by IT Systems Section Provide proactive and reactive support address incidents and problems to all systems and related infrastructures including software and hardware Work on new initiatives of IT Systems for the continuous infrastructure and service improvement projects Missions Administer Manage and maintain all IT Systems solutions services systems and infrastructure Investigate user and system problems identify their source determine possible solutions test and implement solution Install configure and maintain Servers exchange file print servers ISA servers Citrix Virtual Infrastructure Active directory SQL servers Clusters Web Application servers Backup solutions HyperV DNS DHCP WINS and other services Plan and implement server security including best practices applying cryptography to network applications managing host security file permissions Ensure Backup of all systems and test restores prepare disaster recovery plans and maintain information integrity Develop and conduct various training and instruction for system users Helpdesk and NOC team on systems services and other applications Identify utilization patterns and their effect on service system availability and performance expectations Anticipate systems and service problems and implement preventive measures Perform maintenance in compliance with company and vendor standards Ensure Security standards policies and organization and IT policies and procedures are followed Investigate recommend and implement enhancements and operating procedures that optimize system service availability Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed stored or accessed Perform Database administration and management Evaluate and or recommend purchases of servers storage hardware and software Manage and maintain web infrastructure and related services Liaise with Hosting Solution providers and partners Document problems and resolutions for future reference Maintain software and hardware licenses for the organization Keep selfupdated with latest technologies Assist team leader and unit supervisor in their tasks Work in offhours oncall rotation and available 24 7 Escalate issues problems that require immediate attention Liaise with other teams helpdesk customers as and when required Work on special projects and tasks assigned Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops Reviewing professional publications Establishing personal networks Benchmarking stateoftheart practices Participating in professional societies Any other tasks as assigned Required skills Excellent Troubleshooting and Problem Solving Skills Operating System Windows 2008 2012 Linux AIX Virtualization Platforms HyperV Citrix Virtual Desktop Cloud Platforms Microsoft Exchange SQL Oracle Management of Storage Networking and Blade ServersRequired qualifications Education Minimum Bachelor degree in IT Computer Science or related field Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in IT domain IT Systems Administration in midtolarge enterprise preferred or any similar role ITIL Foundation Certification in Microsoft MCSE MCTS and Cloud Computing Technologies is preferred Citrix AIX Storage or Server management Certification is preferred
