DohaThe Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for implementing ASD’s branding, communications, marketing and publications / media strategies to promote ASD internally and externally.

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is a member of the Development Office team and reports directly to the Development and External Relations Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities : Marketing, Communications and MediaManage the implementation of ASD’s branding, marketing, communications and publications / media strategies.

  • Assume overall responsibility for implementing the annual marketing plan for the organization; for strategic market planning;
  • market research. Organize and facilitate marketing and communication meetings on a regular basis with relevant audiences.

    Organize the annual communications plan that outlines the desired audiences, communication vehicles and preparation procedures for all major ASD communications.

    In coordination with the ASD Information Technology Department, oversee the content presented on the school’s website and ensure that it is accurate, current and refreshed regularly to preserve the relevance of the site.

    Manage ASD’s presence on social networks, ensuring a coherent and easily accessible profile on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and other social networks.

    Organize and facilitate the overall production of all ASD yearbooks which includes providing branding and layout input and approving the final product for printing.

    Support ASD Leadership Team in preparation of communications, including formal publications (Strategically Speaking), weekly emails (Sahifa, parent emails) and others.

    Assume overall responsibility for the creation of ads and marketing materials to appear in local and international publications.

    Provide media and communication support for major events and special projects.Support the logistics of press coverage for donor recognition.

    Knowledge & Skills : Strong organizational and computer skills to facilitate database management, communication and event planning.

    Experience in preparing publications, newsletters, emails and other forms of communication. Experience in administering social networks to maintain a strong ASD presence in those areas.

    Demonstrably strong writing, planning and organizational skills.Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed.

    Qualifications : A Bachelor’s degree in education, marketing, communications or a related field is required.Experience and demonstrated ability to utilize design platforms to prepare marketing and communications materials.

    Experience in a similar International and / or regional environment.Desired Qualifications : Experience preparing marketing and communications plans.

    Ability to use web analytics to implement a well thought out marketing plan. Project management. Knowledge of InDesign, Adobe, Google platforms and web design.

    Required Documents : Police clearance from country of origin Authenticated education documentsWorking Conditions & Physical Demands : Work typically takes place in a normal office environment.

    However, some of the work is performed off-campus, in meetings and community functions in which you may be asked to cover stories that will be issued on behalf of ASD for publication.
