THE ROLE

The Project General Manager Role serves as a single point ofaccountability of Business Management for SITA’s Government and Securitybusiness in key countries.

The selected candidate will manage existingbusiness within key strategic customers and ensure business growth by :

  • Manage commercial and business development activities forgovernment mega deals in a timely manner meeting corporate financial objectiveswith appropriate risk.
  • Ensuring on-time, on budget, to quality and customer expectationsdelivery & operation of SITA’s various programs.
  • Driving all SITA Teams working on customer programs to ensureOperational Excellence in accordance with the terms of the customer contractand Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Acting as a customer Single Point of Contactfor conflict escalation on program / support issues to expedite resolution.
  • Managing and monitoring all contractual requirements on behalf ofSITA and ensuring delivery of terms and conditions agreed to by both SITA andthe customer.
  • This Role is focused on both pre-sales and post-sales activities.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strive to ensure customer value is generated throughout theprogram and support senior management in ensuring SITA meets its commercialobjectives for the program and develops its relationship with the customer
  • Review and evaluate SITA’s government contract with respect tocontractual, regulatory, delivery, operation and life cycle concerns;
  • Produce the financial short and long-term evaluation and forecastof customer opportunities from Revenue and Margin perspective;
  • Educate of the various stakeholders (Project management, Accountteams, Solution Lines and Operations) involved in the contract life cycle, onSITA's responsibilities and opportunities
  • Ensure the delivery / operations teams work in full compliance ofcontract specifics, including : requirements, Change management, Early Warningnotices, Event / milestone Notification
  • Lead, motivate, coach and direct the project / operation teams andsuccessfully resolve any customer complains arising from imputed failure toobserve the contract by either party;
  • Handle escalations in a professional and proactive manner toensure customer dissatisfaction is kept to an absolute minimum
  • Support the leads in the construction and management of budgets,cash forecasts and cost savings exercises;
  • Proactively take leadership to manage the contract during bothdelivery and operations including risks and issues and take ownership ofescalations whilst ensuring customers fulfill their obligations and recovercosts in case of lapses
  • Drive the Service Operations support & delivery to internaland external customers in accordance with the terms of the customer contractand Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • As the SITA team leader - identify, quantify, assess and reportrisks associated with new bids and Change Requests.
  • Work with SRM, Regional and central Border management teams onlinking commercial structure with technical design, bid and sales strategies tooptimize returns and win probability;
  • Support compliance with company regulations, including bidprocess, delegation of authority, human resources (local employment law) andinvestment guidelines.
  • Qualifications

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Master'sdegree in IT, Telecom, finance, business or equivalent business experience.
  • 15 plus years of Business / Project / Service / Contract management experience,in telecommunications, IT, and / or outsourcing in large global companies.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in border management,government security, Biometrics and Identity management.
  • Experience in managing, structuring, positioning and / ornegotiating complex contracts in the Region.
  • Experienceworking with MOI, Immigration, or National Security organization is a definitePlus.
  • Bilingual : Arabic& English (native or fluent in both languages).
  • Strong understandingof border management and security business.
  • Strong communications skills and ability to interact with C-Levelexecutives (internal & external) to clearly articulate and negotiatecomplex and high value business propositions.
  • Strong financial acumen; ability to understand, link andarticulate T&Cs impacts to financial results and vice versa.
  • Broad technical knowledge of IT, Integration Services,Applications, Hosted Environments and managed data network products.
