Assisting in Management ofRestaurant Team
Handles employee questions andconcerns.
Monitors employees to ensureperformance expectations are met.
Providesfeedback to employees based on observation of servicebehaviors.
Assists in supervising daily shiftoperations.
Supervises restaurant and allrelated areas in the absence of the Director of Restaurants orRestaurant Manager.
Participates in departmentmeetings by communicating a clear and consistent message regardingthe departmental goals to produce desired results.
Conducting Day-to-Day Restaurant Operations
Ensures all employees have proper supplies, equipment anduniforms.
Communicates to Chef and RestaurantManager any issues regarding food quality and servicelevels.
Ensures compliance with all restaurantpolicies, standards and procedures.
Monitorsalcohol beverage service in compliance with local laws.
Manages to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
Performs all duties of restaurant employees and relateddepartments as necessary.
Opens and closesrestaurant shifts.
Providing ExceptionalCustomer Service
Interacts with guests toobtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
Supervises staffing levels to ensure that guest service,operational needs and financial objectives are met.
Encourages employees to provide excellent customerservice within guidelines.
Handles guestproblems and complaints, seeking assistance from supervisor asnecessary.
Strives to improve serviceperformance.
Sets a positive example for guestrelations.
Assists in the review of commentcards and guest satisfaction results with employees.
Meets and greets guests.
ConductingHuman Resource Activities
Supervises on-goingtraining initiatives.
Uses all available onthe job training tools for employees.
Communicates performance expectations in accordance withjob descriptions for each position.
Coachesand counsels employees regarding performance on an on-goingbasis.
Additional Responsibilities
Provides information to supervisors, co-workers, andsubordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or inperson.
Analyzes information and evaluatingresults to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Assists servers and hosts on the floor during mealperiods and high demand times.
Recognizes goodquality products and presentations.
Supervisesdaily shift operations in absence of Restaurant Manager.
