The Opportunity :

This is an exciting opportunity to be working inside one of the Middle East’s largest and fastest growing Pay TV broadcasters.

The client is building their strategy for content, marketing and subscription in order to grow their dominance within the MENA region, and is expecting the person in this role to drive insights and recommendations into the heart of their strategic development.

At the client end, you will be working with a highly motivated, innovative and intelligent team, led by the Marketing Director and Strategy department.

At the Nielsen end, you will be working with our global Watch experts in TAM, learning from their experience and knowledge, and locally with the Arabian Peninsula Media team to drive this particular business opportunity and look to capitalise on future Watch opportunities.

Purpose of the role :

Based primarily with a key client, deliver daily prompt analysis of TV data, accompanied by smart strategic insights, to client stakeholders, as required to meet their needs.

Nielsen is deploying a Return Path Data modeling service to a key global broadcast client, based in Qatar. The service is set up to receive all of the client’s set top box data across MENA markets.

The data is then modeled and calibrated through Nielsen RPD team, and sent back to the client as TAM-like data through the Arianna interface / analysis tool on a daily basis.

The role will be based within the client offices and responding daily to client stakeholder analysis needs.

Main Accountabilities :

  • Based within a key broadcast client in Qatar, running all client facing operations and servicing for a new Return Path Data modeling service.
  • Drive client satisfaction by providing insights and actionable recommendations during reporting, presentations and business reviews and also by providing value-
  • added analyses and response to special requests.

  • Build and maintain ongoing relationships with the identified key persons within client organization
  • Liaise daily with senior management to identify their needs and recommend then deliver new analyses beyond their expectations and understanding.
  • Knowledge and Skills Requirement :

  • Strong client focus
  • Strong understanding of broadcast and TV measurement data to enable meaningful conversations with
  • all client stakeholders, and ensure accurate representation of the data in reporting and insights
  • Knowledge of statistics and multivariate analysis
  • Ability to understand all technical and delivery aspects of the modeling process to carry out internal Nielsen and client based conversations
  • Experienced with analysis tools for data extraction at a complex level
  • Ability to coach and train client in TV data and modeling process at all levels of seniority
  • Proactive
  • Able to influence and persuade.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data in a challenging and insightful manner
  • Excellent presentation development skills to creatively to bring data to life with story-telling and attractive reporting to client expecatations
  • Confident presenting skills to deliver insights, stories and actions in face to face or group presentations
  • Efficient time management, ability to multi-task and detail oriented
  • Displays maturity and creative problem solving skills in handling crises
  • Recommend improvements in work processes within area of responsibility
  • Able to operate in a multi-cultural environment
  • Qualifications :

  • 6 to 8 years’ experience and Proven success with primary research
  • 2-3 years experience working with TV data and analysis
  • Post-Graduation from a premier institute
  • Strong analysis skills and insight generation
  • Good grounding in custom research principles, methodologies, statistical techniques
  • Basic business understanding (e.g. comfortable with terminology : revenue, profit, loss, margin)
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills or Google Slides and Google Sheets
