Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM seeks to hire a Technical Support Professional. We are lookingfor analytical puzzle solvers who thrive in a driven enterprisecustomer support environment.
You can work both individually and aspart of a motivated worldwide team to assist IBM customers toperform problem determination on the IBM Spectrum Protect (akaTivoli Storage Manager) product.
We are seekingdemonstrated problem solvers with proven communication skills. Inthis position, debugging and analysis are performed via thetelephone as well as electronically.
Candidatesmust have the desire to wow customers, articulate solutions andoptions, and take the opportunity to interact with the end users,as well as the developers and sales teams to be a well roundedcontributor.
The challenge in this position isto able to interpret complex software problems that span acrossmultiple client and server platforms including UNIX, Linux,Advanced Interactive Executive (AIX), and Windows.
Knowledge ofcloud, Storage Area Networks (SAN), network protocols, and storagedevices is preferred. Hands on experience with storagevirtualization is a plus.
Multilingual capabilities are anasset.
